The energy and vibration of once was, colorful abstract design, liquidates and confronts foreshadowing VACANCY, illustrated by imposing the black and white design.

Neighborhoods transform into hollow streets and avenues and repetitive rows of VACANT spaces - can repetition be an intentional step to normalize VACANCY and its aftereffects? Life energy and unique expressions of neighborhood culture transform into sterile, homogeneous, cookie-cutter glass boutiques. Fabric shop's embedded design conveys lingering energy of what was - displacement is new and there are scraps of material still in the empty space. While the glass boutiques framing the VACANT fabric shop are occupied, they are empty and vapid displays of consumption.
